The Royal Armouries Museum was opened in Leeds in 1996. It is an exceptional museum which presents the national collection of arms and armours famous throughout the whole world: that of the Tower of London. Until now, its place of historical exposure, the Tower of London, could hardly expose 10% of what there was to show. Created for the visitors of all ages, The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds presents the greatest part of the collection.
